Once upon a time, on a faraway Farm, there lived in harmony all manner of beings.

Students fought maleficent p-sets, defeated fire-breathing papers, burst into song, talked with animals and had magic powers.

Well… not really. But life at Stanford, more often than not, can resemble a fairytale.

When it gets a little windy or it’s chilly in the morning, many complain about how “freezing” it is. Easterners on the other hand, seem to have a great time emphasizing how not cold they are.

FroSoCo inhabitants trapped in their own world on the West end of campus.

When you look at your bank balance and realize how much you have left for the quarter: *gulp* “The simple bare necessities, forget about your worries and your strife.” (“The Jungle Book”)

 

Trying to get through that Circle of Death be like … (“Mulan”)

 

 

When fuzzies take CS106A, enjoy it a little too much, and start considering the Switch: “There may be something there that wasn’t there before.” (“Beauty and the Beast”)

 

Two frosh, circa January 31, *full moon shining bright* *awkwardness* *unmet expectations* (“The Little Mermaid”)

 

Life is never the same after a soul-sucking 20+ unit quarter. (“Mulan”)

 

Late risers thinking of friends who trudge off to 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. classes. (“The Little Mermaid”)

 

Coming out of Green Library after 6 hours and rediscovering what it means to be outside. (“Tangled”)

 

When you’re almost done with that p-set and it’s 11:57. (“The Princess and the Frog”)

 

That momentary surge of optimism right before dead week… (“Hercules”)

 

And then when you leave the exam room and picture your GPA in free fall. (“Frozen”)

 

Dormcest. So much dormcest. (“Frozen”)

 

Life on the Farm has its ups and down. But nothing beats that wonder when you first arrive on campus and realize that this new place is yours to discover, grow and thrive in for the next few years. (“Aladdin”)
