Several residences were affected by a problem with steam production that curtailed the production of hot water on Tuesday afternoon.
Wilbur, Wilbur Dining Hall, Mirrielees and Branner were among the residences to see issues.
The stream production issue affected heat in rooms and hot water in sinks and showers. Hot water remaining in the pipes, as well as normal cold water, was still available.
Residents were first notified of the problem shortly after 1:30 p.m. In the late afternoon, residents received a message that the problem had been resolved, and by approximately 5 p.m. normal service had returned.
